The gentle morning breeze effortlessly lifted the beige chiffon curtains of a modest home. Don Memo splashed his face with cold water and ran a comb through his graying hair. He brewed his potent coffee as he spread marmalade on a piece of toast. He loaded his Polaroid ProPack camera into a well worn leather bag and headed into the city to make a living.

La suave brisa de la mañana levantó las cortinas de gasa sin esfuerzo. Don Memo salpicó su rostro con agua fría y pasó un peine por el cabello encanecido. Preparó su potente café mientras le extendía mermelada sobre un pedazo de pan tostado. Empaco su cámara Polaroid ProPack en una bolsa desgastada de cuero y se dirigió a la ciudad para ganarse la vida.

I have procrastinated more than enough. I have decided to follow the late Ray Bradbury’s advice: “Jump, and you will find out how to unfold your wings as you fall.” There is no reason to over complicate this. My plan is simple and feasible, the goal is post one photo and accompany it with a vignette. The ultimate intent is to hone a set of writing skills.
